Wellstone International High School

Wellstone International is focused on preparing students to be globally competent young adults who are fully prepared for college and career.

Wellstone International High School is a Minneapolis Public School which serves newly arrived, multilingual, refugee and immigrant students. Wellstone students have the opportunity to develop their English, graduate from high school and pursue their dreams of post-secondary and career.  The school's foundation is based upon social justice and peace. Providing access and opportunity for students to continue their education in the United States, as well as develop their language, grants them full access to be advocates for themselves and their communities.  Giving to Wellstone is giving to the future, giving to justice, and giving to peace in our communities.

An important part of Wellstone's program is the opportunity for students to attend Minneapolis College, where they can accelerate their English language development and gain experience in taking rigorous, college level courses. Students who participate have a higher rate of continuing their education at the college level and are better prepared for the challenges of college.

We are coming to our community to ask for your help in two ways:

1. Funding to support students to enroll in Minneapolis College course while in high school.
2. Scholarships for Wellstone graduates to continue their college education.
