The Way of the Shepherd Catholic Montessori School in Blaine, MN provides a unique education for children ages 3 through grade 7.

Founded in 1998, The Way of the Shepherd combines the individualized education methods of Dr. Maria Montessori with the teachings of the Catholic Church, providing a solid foundation of faith and learning for children ages 3 through grade 7.

Thanks to your generous support, The Way of the Shepherd is vibrant and thriving — 2 campuses, 104 students, and celebrating 19 years educating children with our unique Catholic Montessori program! Our students grow to become disciplined, independent, and successful learners with a strong faith foundation and love for the Good Shepherd.

All gifts made during Give to the Max Day will support our annual fund. The Catholic Schools Center of Excellence (CSCOE) has issued us an exciting challenge — if we raise $20,000 in NEW and INCREASED gifts, CSCOE will award us a $20,000 grant. This challenge grant would significantly impact our mission and allow us to serve more students and families!

How can I help WOS grow to serve?

Pass the word to family and friends. Share our mission with others and encourage new gifts to support our growth and meet the challenge grant.

Increase your annual gift.  Please consider increasing your annual gift to WOS. Any increase over your total 2016 contribution amount will be counted towards the challenge grant (contact us if you would like to verify this amount).

Pray for The Way of the Shepherd.  As we embark on this annual day of giving and make plans for a bright future, please keep WOS students and our community in your prayers.

The Way of the Shepherd academic program provides:

Guidance that encourages a child’s passion for learning
Opportunities for problem-solving and creative thinking
An inquiry based curriculum
Collaborative learning communities
Beautiful, ordered, indoor and outdoor learning environments
A solid base of practical skills
An emphasis on concentration, repetition, and mastery
Controlled movement within the classroom
A commitment to good nutrition and healthy activity
Freedom and self-discipline to complete and honor the child’s work

As an evangelical body of the Roman Catholic Church, children at The Way of the Shepherd are offered an authentic Catholic Education, including:

The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd faith formation program
A beautifully prepared environment called the "Atrium" which provides a unique space for religious studies
An opportunity to know and to fall in love with Jesus, the Good Shepherd
Experiences of prayer and worship that foster the child’s innate spirit of wonder towards God
Frequent opportunities to receive the Sacraments
A foundation for a meaningful relationship with God that will last a lifetime

While most Catholic schools have a larger parish community to help support their efforts, The Way of the Shepherd is an entirely independent Catholic school and as such, relies on the generosity of supporters like you. Though we do charge tuition for each student, that amount does not cover the operational costs of the school. Only through generous donations to The Way of the Shepherd Annual Fund is it possible for our school to continue its mission of “providing a nurturing learning environment personalized to each child and centered on God.”

We encourage you to learn more about our wonderful school by stopping in for a visit, attending one of our all school events, volunteering with our children, and by considering becoming an annual supporter of The Way of the Shepherd Catholic Montessori School.

Thank you for your continued support!
