Walker Area Community Center

To provide civic, cultural, educational and recreational opportunities for the purpose of supporting balanced and healthy communities.

The Walker Area Community Center (WACC) was built in 2007 to provide healthy, fun activities for individuals and a supporting environment for families. This is accomplished by providing a clean, bright, adult-supervised space for youth, family and senior activities, including a fitness center and gym, ice rink during winter months, Beyond the Bell programming for youth on days off school, and other opportunities. The WACC facility houses the Boys & Girls Club, Walker Area Youth Hockey, Walker Rotary Club, Walker School of Tae Kwon Do, Walker Curling Club, and Just for Kix. WACC is also a sponsor of the North Country Marathon and the Lions Home and Garden Show.

WACC's goal is to enrich the quality of life of individuals and families in the surrounding communities by providing a broad range of civic, cultural, educational, recreational and leisure activities.
