Visitation Monastery of Minneapolis

MISSION STATEMENT: The Visitation Sisters of Minneapolis live a monastic life of prayer and community: being present, welcoming, and reaching out to all in the diverse setting of north Minneapolis.

1. We are present on the North Side to “Live Jesus” by being part of this multi-cultural community – to share prayer, hope, and God’s blessings.  Our friends are drawn into a circle of faith that brings us all to a clearer vision of the face of God.  
2. We recognize our need to protect and nurture the contemplative and communal quality of our life in order to witness more clearly to God’s love through our ministry of presence.  As we reach out to support and comfort others, we recognize our own need to be supported and encouraged.
3. We dream that the liberating spirit that is part of our charism will foster the “prophetic” in all of us.
4. We will show gentleness and offer peacefulness to the community, if only for a moment.  

We ask you to consider supporting us. Our ministry of prayer and presence continues to grow in many and varied ways.  One of the many ways is the St Jane House, an urban retreat  and house of hospitality.  

Our vision of prayer and community expands as many people discover us, and we discover them!  Your monetary support ensures the continuation of our presence here on the north side.
