Veterans Campground on Big Marine Lake (Washington County, MN) is a 69-acre recreational camp providing rest and recovery activities for disabled military veterans since 1926.  Approximately 10,000 veterans and their families visit Veterans Campground annually.  It is the premier outdoor recreational camp that provides military veterans with a safe and trusting environment to share their military experiences with each other.  For many veterans, the camaraderie with fellow veterans helps them make it "all the way home" from military duty, long deployments, training, and combat.  

100% of your donation goes to materials for renovations and development of the camp, as community and organization members from VFWs, American Legions, DAVs, Scouts, local and state businesses, military units, and other veterans service groups provide the volunteer labor force.  Volunteers assist with camp cleanup, maintenance, renovations, gardening and landscaping.  Veterans Campground is the only Yellow Ribbon Campground in the US, and is managed by the non-profit Disabled Veterans Rest Camp Association, a 16-member board of directors--all veterans, all volunteers. 

The camp is open year round for camping and recreation with 171 RV sites, tent sites, 24 cabins, beachfront, trails, and marina with boat slips and rentals.  Activities to enjoy include swimming, boating, tubing, fishing, hiking trails, volleyball court, horseshoes, outdoor pavilion and grills, softball, game room, canteen with beverages and food.  Modern cabins are open for winter camping, where you can enjoy snowmobiling, ice fishing, cross country skiing, and hiking.

30 minutes from downtown St. Paul, Minnesota.  Minutes from historic Stillwater, Marine on St. Croix, St. Croix River, and Taylor's Falls.
