Valley Athletic Association

VAA is a non-profit to benefit the youth of School District 196 by providing a means of athletic & social development through organized sports.

We are a non-profit organization founded in 1969 which gives the youth of Apple Valley and surrounding areas an opportunity to learn important life lessons while having fun playing the sports they love. We encourage good sportsmanship and respect towards coaches, family, teammates, officials and opponents as well as stressing and demonstrating how to be gracious in victory as well as defeat.

A portion of all registration fees goes into an administration fund that pays for the operational costs that allows VAA to serve the community youths.  Even though VAA is run by a group of dedicated volunteers, there are some costly expenses that must be outsourced.  Along with the operational cost, VAA also provides financial help with maintenance and improvements to facilities at various locations used by VAA programs.  VAA also provides scholarships to high school graduates that have participated in VAA and have chosen to pay it forward by volunteering their time to give back to the younger kids.

As these costs continue to rise year after year, VAA tries to run as efficiently as possible to keep your registration fees down.  Seeking donations from businesses, individuals, and other non-profit organizations helps VAA to continue to provide our community with quality youth sport programs.   Whether you have children currently in VAA or they have moved on, I am asking you to join me in this drive to raise the funds needed to allow VAA to continue to keep registration fees as low as possible.
