Thanks to all of you who share what you have with others in the community

When you invest in the operation of our hands-on, citizen powered radio station, you are showing support for an exchange of information and ideas that matter. KTWH believes in telling local stories, and in so doing, we provide listeners access to  perspectives that need to be heard.  Local interviews, local  musicians and artists, and a world of ideas worth our attention--all are part of the mix we stir up at KTWH . Help us truly hear local voices, and if you can, get involved yourself with KTWH.  They say Community Radio is 10 % radio and 90% community. You can make a difference for yourself and all the folks who tune in at 99.5 FM locally or stream us worldwide at ktwh.org

Providing low power listener-supported radio to build community in the greater Two Harbors area.

The story of building a grassroots radio station in Two Harbors is really about people recognizing that we can't wait for a large media entity to connect folks in our small rural community.  We the people of greater Two Harbors have the opportunity to engage each other in a respectful and meaningful way even during times of great division, not by ignoring our differences, but by honest exchanges to find common ground from which we'll build trust and community conversations about the challenges and milestone achievements in our towns and neighborhoods.  KTWH-LP went on the air with 100 Watts (and limitless possibilities) in September of 2015 at 99.5 FM.  Non-commercial nonprofit Two Harbors Community Radio streams all our programs live online at  ktwh.org around the world.  KTWH is a listener supported, volunteer-driven medium accountable to the community and our mission. Our corps of 50 volunteers and staff are committed to provide the training and tools to anyone of good will with a good program idea to bring it to the airwaves. The challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic in our midst have brought to light how the humble but durable 100 year old medium of radio becomes vitally important to us during a crisis.  We seek your support to continue this work for another five years and beyond.

KTWH is Community  Radio with a Lake View,  making room on the airwaves for local voices from the youth to our elders.  In the course of our  100 hours of programming  each week we  share community news and events, music from down the street and far way, engaging  with artists, storytellers, business people, activists, and civic leaders to flesh out the issues we face along the way to sustaining  vibrant livelihoods on the north shore of Lake Superior.
