Twin Cities Maker is a non-profit, volunteer-driven community of makers. We provide access to tools and equipment, education, and other resources to help people of all skill levels innovate, create, and learn.
Our vision is to be a leading creative hub for individuals and the greater community in the Twin Cities, a place where people from all backgrounds and interests can come together to realize their creative and technical potential. We strive to make the Twin Cities a better place by empowering individuals to build, learn, and share their talents and passions!
We operate a shared community workshop, located in the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis. Our workshop is comprised of a comprehensive woodshop, metal shop, electronics lab, Artifactory, ceramics studio, and so much more! The greater community can also access these shops through workshops, classes, and other programs.
Membership dues are key to maintaining our facility's basic operating budget, but donations help support our operations and fund additional community outreach programs, upgrades, and projects.
Right now, donations help us build our capacity to purchase our own building! As our current building is both inaccessible to some members and bursting at the seams, we are looking to raise $850,000 to be able to purchase our own. This will grant us financial stability, more space for shops, artist studios, residencies, etc., and the ability to provide greater resources to our neighborhood as a local community hub. Learn more about this building project on the "New Building" tab.
If you'd like to learn more, you can email info@tcmaker.org, or stop by any Wednesday evening, for our weekly Open House at 7pm.
