A Message from Executive Director Jodie Miller:

Thanks for the memories! Friday ended my last full week in the office, but I’ll be helping out part-time for a couple more months as our staff leadership team runs the day-to-day operations and our search committee finalizes their plan to secure a strong new executive director to keep our momentum going.

Working here for 35 years has been a privilege and a joy. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the people who have been my colleagues, teachers, mentors, and friends.  This includes incredible volunteers, local leaders, dozens of cable commissioners and TST board members, state and federal leaders in our industry, and especially our staff of 11 employees, who average 16 years of service, many of whom have worked together for decades. THANK YOU all for your part in making my life work so rewarding. 

This past year has been a grand kick-off for me on my way to retirement…

• Produced our first “Meet the Non-Profits” video series featuring 14 Dakota County non-profits promoting their volunteer programs and fund-raising. 
• Partnered with Heritage Organization of Romanian Americans Minnesota (HORA-MN) to produce the third documentary in their trilogy, which premiered November 2nd
• Celebrated SIX of our team receiving an all-time high 11 Midwest Regional® Emmy Nominations and TWO Regional Emmy® Awards
• Honored a very special Town Square Television founder by naming the Michael B. Sokol Conference Room in his memory
• Covered our local election season once again with fair, neutral, factual, and helpful Decision 2024 programming for our viewers
• Collaborated with our fellow PEG stations across the state to introduce legislation to modernize our funding structure at the MN Legislature, and received heartwarming support from our seven Member Cities

Town Square Television is the local community television station serving Inver Grove Heights, Lilydale, Mendota, Mendota Heights, South St. Paul, Sunfish Lake, and West St. Paul. We rely on donations from people like you to continue telling the stories of our community. Our donors help us to provide local programming like high school Game of the Week, school and holiday concerts, INSIGHT 7 local news stories, government meetings, candidate information and election coverage, and community celebrations like parades, graduations, and royalty coronations. Many of these are produced by our staff with the help of our amazing volunteers, but more than half are produced by local people and nonprofits who need our help. Your gift helps us to remain the only uniquely local media station located in the same community with our viewers.

Your generosity allows us to make important family and civic events, from graduations to public meetings to non-profit fundraisers, available to all, providing video participation and coverage in a range of formats, including streaming, cable television, social media, digital downloads or media copies upon demand.
