Tod Pod Playgroup

A nonprofit organization

WHAT IS TOD POD?

Tod Pod, short for "toddler pod", is a playgroup for families with children from birth through five years old who live in or near Bloomington, Minnesota.

Tod Pod started in the depths of the COVID-19 pandemic as a way for local families to gather and play safely outdoors. Our first park playdate was September 15, 2020, with eight families. As we toured more and more Bloomington parks, we met more and more families. The fear of the virus, the isolation of lockdown, and the hunger for connection was palpable. Tod Pod filled the void and provided something reliable to look forward to during a time of extreme uncertainty.

Tod Pod meets weekly, hosts a variety of family events, and provides a welcoming, supportive environment for all families regardless of cultural, social or economic backgrounds.

OUR MISSION:

We provide regular opportunities for families with children from birth through five years old to gather, play, and connect to each other, nurturing a shared experience that instills a sense of belonging in the community.

The connections to be made are four-fold: caregivers to their children; caregivers to other caregivers; children to other children, and the entire family to the local community.

OUR VISION FOR THE WORLD:

Increased well-being for every family. (You are not alone on your parenting journey!)
