The Museum of Russian Art (TMORA) is a gem of the Twin Cities -- please help us polish it by making a donation today!

The TMORA Board has issued a $5,000 challenge match, so give today to have your donation matched by the Board challenge!

Now is the time to make your gift to support the illuminating exhibitions and scintillating programs at TMORA.  Over 60% of every gift goes to make certain that we are able to retain the talented and dedicated staff responsible for creating these cultural events that are so important to you and the community.

This year, TMORA was awarded Accreditation by the American Alliance of Museums, which recognizes the high professional standards that the Museum upholds in every aspect of its operations.  The accreditation process is quite rigorous, and only 1,100 of the nation’s 33,000 museums have been so recognized, making this a distinct honor for TMORA.

The Museum upholds an independent voice and the freedom of expression to carry out its mission unconstrained by influence from foreign governments, political actors and/or corporate or individual interests.

Facts about current operations:

  • Annually, TMORA presents 8-12 exhibitions and over 50 programs and events on site, covering art, music, theater, history, and literature.
  • TMORA impacts more than 35,000 per year through its exhibitions, programs, events, outreach education, and collaborative programs.
  • TMORA is supported by 70+ wonderful volunteers. During your visit, you'll meet them at the front desk, Museum Shop, and as your Museum Guide on tours.
  • The organization is led by a Board of Trustees from a variety of professional backgrounds.
  • The Museum was named a "Jewel of the Twin Cities" by the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
  • TMORA presents classical, folk, and contemporary music performances. Star artists from Minnesota and around the world participate in these concerts, including musicians from the Minnesota Orchestra.
  • TMORA builds strength through diversity in programming. Different types of cultural events throughout the year reach a broad audience and welcome all interests.

“What’s great about The Museum of Russian Art is that in addition to extraordinary art, one inevitably leaves with a much richer understanding of Russian history and culture.”   - Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine
