Tiny Whiskers Animal Rescue

Tiny Whiskers Animal Rescue is dedicated to protecting the welfare of rodents and small animals through rescue, rehabilitation, rehoming, and education.

Each year we take in hundreds of small animals including strays, abandoned animals, owner surrenders, and transfers from other organizations. We provide free education to any current, past, or prospective owners to help their animals thrive. We pride ourselves on our commitment to working with other organizations near and far to create the largest impact for the animals.

Our largest expense is always veterinary care. We work with several fantastic clinics across Minnesota to provide the highest quality veterinary care to these often neglected critters. From vaccinating ferrets to tumor removals in hamsters to palliative care for terminally ill guinea pigs, we put their health first no matter the cost. Your generous donations help us to say YES to sick and injured animals who require immediate assistance.

Our next highest expense is supplies and day to day care for the 80-100+ animals we care for at any given point in time. Food, bedding, enclosures, enrichment, hides, chew toys, and more. $5 buys chew sticks for our critters. $20 provides a comfortable bed or a cozy hide. $50 provides 20 pounds of hay for our guinea pigs, chinchillas, and degus. $75 covers 25 pounds of seed mix for our hamsters, gerbils, and mice. 

We want to say YES to every single request for help that we receive, but we can't do it alone. With your help we can provide a safe place to land for rodents in need who often have no other place to go. Our team of volunteers work day and night to provide the best we can for the creatures in our care, knowing that there is always another animal in need. With more resources, we can continue helping more animals each and every day.
