The Periphery Foundation evolved from its founder’s keen interest in documenting people’s lives and his desire to find creative ways to help those in need.

Brandon Ferdig began by traveling across the United States to meet people, learn their stories, and document the situations they were facing in their lives.

In 2018, homelessness in America and the rise of a prominent homeless encampment in Minneapolis, MN set the scene for Brandon’s first documentary “The Wall”, which premiered in Minneapolis in 2019 and on The Periphery YouTube channel in 2020.

Proceeds began to accumulate from YouTube viewership of the "The Wall" as well as Brandon’s other human-interest videos. He realized he had the opportunity to do more than just share the stories of the people in his videos, people often marginalized and found on the periphery of society, and thus The Periphery Foundation was born!

Today, The Periphery Foundation functions as the arm of The Periphery Media, handling the production of stories devoted to social causes—and the distribution of funds to help address them.

The Periphery Foundation is committed to giving a voice to individuals facing overlooked societal issues such as homelessness, addiction, and inner-city violence.

Your donation today helps fund future initiatives to bring more human stories to the forefront and to help inspire, improve, and transform one life at a time!
