Warrior 196 Leadership Foundation

Honoring Service, Encouraging Leaders

Our mission is to honor and remember the five men from Independent School District 196 who paid the ultimate sacrifice while actively serving in the military. We provide scholarships to promising young leaders who are graduating from one of the four high schools in the district - Apple Valley HS, Eastview HS, Rosemount HS and Eagan HS.

The Warrior 196 Leadership Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The funds we raise are 100% applied to the scholarships. Our Board of Directors is entirely volunteer and we have no paid staff.

We sponsor the Goeke Memorial Ultimate Frisbee Tournament each May and the Warrior 196 5K Run/Walk each September, along with other fundraising events throughout the year. Proceeds from our fundraising go to scholarships for graduating seniors at the four School District 196 high schools to support and encourage young persons with strong leadership qualities and a commitment to community service.  

Since our inception, we have awarded over $140,000 in scholarships to over 100 students, including students from the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program.  

Our goal for the 2023 Give to the Max Day is to raise $2000 to cover one full scholarship.
