Food Shelf

Emergency Disaster Shelter  (we are still housing families that have been displaced by the flood).

Community - Event - Retreat Center

It mostly serves the Waterville-Elysian-Morristown communities but folks from all of the southern lakes region (33 cities in 11 counties) come to our food shelf and lots more use our facility for life events as well as group gatherings and family gatherings.

Our FB page will provide you with a great picture of what we do.

The greatest financial need we presently have is for our food shelf operation. On October 27, we served 201 households, but sadly, more came after we ran out of food.  We are again increasing the number for the second Sunday in November, and will increase it further for the Sunday prior to Thanksgiving Day.

Our box room

We distributed 22998 pounds of food to 390 households in October, having 267 children, 260 seniors and 405 adults.

We are in need of twelve shelving units that hold banana boxes (which we use to distribute our dry goods items), and more freezer space (we are hoping to secure a 48 cu.ft. upright freezer). [Note that we share limited freezer and cooler space with meals-on-wheels, who operates out of our commercial kitchen]

We are on the verge of moving forward with Rooftop Solar units, to help address our electrical utility needs.

We thank you in advance for considering a donation to the Village in Waterville.  We are 100% community focused and we appreciate your support.
