For 25 years, The Rose Ensemble worked tirelessly to bring to life through story and music the struggles, joys, hopes, and passions of diverse peoples from across the ages. One of many examples of recognition of this work is Early Music America's prestigious Laurette Goldberg Award for Lifetime Achievement in Early Music Outreach, presented to Jordan Sramek in 2018.
The last year has been spent archiving manuscript transcriptions, digital photos, live concert footage, and thousands of pages of writing and research. This work was crucial to ensure its availability to future generations of musicians and historians.
Now, as we prepare to donate those archives at the Minnesota Historical Society and permanently close our doors, we continue to serve our community with a variety of videos we've created for our fans to enjoy. It has been a pleasure to share this material with our fans via social media...and the response from our audience has been wonderful.
Thanks to our Founder and Artistic director, Jordan Sramek, we leave a rich legacy. We invite you to make a gift to support that legacy, as we face legal fees associated with organizational dissolution.
Performing in France in 2008
