Every year, thousands of families experience the heartbreak of losing a beloved dog. For these families, the emotional toll can be overwhelming as they frantically search for their missing companion. The Retrievers Volunteer Lost Dog Team exists to bring hope, expertise, and a support system to help reunite lost dogs with their families. Our dedicated group of volunteers, using specialized tools and expertise, are committed to providing swift and effective aid during these critical moments.

Our volunteers offer strategic guidance, tools like humane traps and drones, cellular trail cameras, and fieldwork expertise - and perhaps most importantly, inspiration and support for anguished families. Our over 70% success rate shows that our approach is highly successful in reuniting dogs with their families.

The Retrievers specialize in:

•  First Response and Awareness: Using data-driven methods to determine the most effective search strategies and areas of interest.
•  Humane Trapping: Safe and humane trapping of lost dogs who may be frightened and unapproachable.
•  Tracking and Technology: Using cellular trail cameras and thermal-equipped drones to locate lost pets in both urban and rural environments.
•  Awareness and Education: Educating dog owners on best practices to prevent dogs from becoming lost and providing guidance on what to do immediately if a pet goes missing.

We operate on a volunteer basis, driven by passion and the belief that every lost dog deserves to find its way home. But we can only continue our mission with the help of generous supporters like you.
