Navigating Community Members to Resources

The Neighborhood Hub is a holistic center for individual and community transformation in North Minneapolis (we also provide services for clients in adjacent first ring suburbs such as Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Robbinsdale, New Hope, and Crystal. We assist families in meeting their basic needs and we are advocates for better overall living conditions for residents in the communities that we serve. Our work focuses on helping people set goals for themselves, and assisting them in following through with the necessary steps to achieve their desired outcomes. At the Hub we meet people where they are, and act as both a support and a measure of accountability for people who are looking to improve themselves and their lot in life.

Through our years of service and ongoing research, The Neighborhood Hub, has become particularly aware of various societal factors that significantly contribute to overall poor health outcomes in the communities that we serve. Social determinants such as discrimination, coupled with limited access to quality education, healthy foods, living-wage employment, and transportation, have all been identified by The Hub through community engagement as key areas that need to be addressed in order to effectively change the overall health of the community.
