This year, our goal is to raise $5,000:

We’re focused on creating more hands-on learning projects like the 8th Grade Canoe Build. This experience had a lasting impact on students like Eusebio Rodriguez, who shared, “I found it really fun—working with wood, learning wood carving, and shaping something real. It made me want to create things at home.”  

Inspired by the project, Eusebio has even started whittling at home: “I might take woodshop in high school because of this. I never considered it before, but now I see it as a way to build and learn lasting skills.” Beyond woodworking, Eusebio learned the power of optimism: “At first, a piece of wood might not look like anything—just rough edges. But if you keep working on it, putting in time and patience, you’ll create something you’re proud of.” Your donation will help provide more transformative experiences like this, helping students bond, discover new skills, and grow in confidence and character.
