SCMC Courage Cottage

Year after year, we are humbled by donations that help us provide care for community members.

A home away from home. Inside our walls, Courage Cottage residents find dignified care while families find emotional support. The Courage Cottage provides specialized nursing care, 24-hours a day, in a home-like setting for patients undergoing rehabilitation or seeking an alternative setting for long-term care, as well as hospice patients.

Stevens County has come to know and depend on the Courage Cottage for its excellent rehabilitative and end-of-life care services right here at home. Stevens Community Medical Center (SCMC) owns and operates the Courage Cottage as a department of the healthcare center. The residents' daily fees only cover about a third of the actual costs of care. Despite this fact, Courage Cottage and SCMC remain committed to keeping patient fees as affordable as possible to make services accessible for everyone. In order for Courage Cottage to meet its financial needs and be fully sustainable, your contributions are needed. That is why we are looking to those who believe in the mission of the Courage Cottage and those who have been touched by its care to consider making a contribution to help us offset operating expenses.

Every dollar given makes a difference for Courage Cottage residents and their families and will be used directly for services, materials, equipment, and maintenance needs to ensure every resident receives the very best care possible. Any amount of money given is so greatly appreciated.
