Established in 2005, Stepping Stone Emergency Housing (SSEH) strives to be a part of the solution of homelessness in Anoka County. SSEH serves over 50 men and women at any given time in a facility where 30% are considered chronically homeless, and 75%+ have a chemical dependancy and/or disability.

Experience for yourself what, how and why we do what we do for our Guests, and join us in being a part of the solution! Watch Ken's Story here!

TESTIMONIALS
SSEH has been a great journey in my life. I will be forever grateful. They have helped me with my sobriety, and helped me learn how to live a normal, healthy, and structured life again. I will remember this journey as I continue to move forward in life.

Stepping Stone’s appeal and effectiveness is entirely a function of the staff. They listen to our stories, and most important, they treat us with respect and dignity. I am proud to have spent time here. The program allows me access resources, and the structure helps me remain productive and optimistic. Stepping Stone is a place like no other, and in that way it is like me.      John, Male Guest

The staff is friendly and readily available to assist clients in whatever way that they can. If it weren’t for the existence of SSEH, I believe I would be in a very unfortunate situation.                               Sarah, Female Guest

I am proud to have spent time here. Many friends are only a paycheck away from homelessness, or already sleeping at their mother’s, and Stepping Stone is a place where I can be accountable for my decisions and to do the work necessary to rebound from my life’s struggles.
