Steele County Agricultural Society

The Steele County Agricultural Society is responsible for organizing and conducting the Steele County Free Fair (SCFF).  The SCFF is Minnesota's largest County Fair and is held annually in August.  In 2022, we had over 300,000 people attend the six-day Fair and participate in the wide variety of free programs, entertainment and educational exhibits.  This included the 29 free musical acts on 3 stages, 9 entertainment venues, four nature educational programs, over 200 commercial vendors. Our great corporate and individual donors help us make these opportunities available at no cost to our fair guests.  Stay for the day and take in a Grandstand Show every evening featuring national and regional bands, a rodeo and a demolition derby.  

The Steele County Agricultural Society tries to make improvement and changes to the fair each year.  Our long-term plans include improvements to the grandstand/infield, the Great Outdoors Center, bathrooms, electrical upgrades and Swine Barn and Shop roofs.  All of these projects are significant and require the support of many people in addition to our small staff.  Your contributions allow us to move forward with improvements and new programming at a faster rate than our budget allows.
