When Maria decided to go to court, she wasn’t just protecting herself — she was protecting her future. Her abuser had a lawyer. She didn’t. What she did have was courage, and a call to Standpoint.

Our attorneys and advocates helped her understand her options, file for protection, and take back her voice. That same support is what hundreds of survivors across Minnesota rely on every year when they face an unjust system alone.

Standpoint provides free, statewide legal advice and advocacy for domestic and sexual violence survivors and the people who support them. We don’t turn anyone away. Our model strengthens survivors and the advocates who serve them — creating lasting change, case by case and community by community.

Right now, the calls for help are outpacing our staff. Some survivors wait days for a response.
Your gift this Give to the Max Day helps us reach them faster and make sure no one has to face the system alone.

Our Minnesota community of survivors needs your support. We ask that you donate to support our Action Line - our most utilized service.

Donate today to help Minnesota survivors—

Your support directly helps survivors navigate the legal system & access justice. Will you donate now?

To show up in this way for our communities, it takes $1.5 million each year. That's our commitment to:

- A mother protecting her children
- A sexual violence survivor assisting
- A person who is concerned about sharing their immigration status with the state to qualify for medical assistance
- A trans person who just moved to Minnesota, seeking care and community in their new home

[92.5% of your donation goes directly toward helping survivors]

"You don't even know what you just did for me. I've been on the phone for three hours this morning trying to get some basic answers and you're the first person to hear me out and actually take the time to understand the dynamics of my situation. I finally feel like I know what do to next."
