We're turning up the metaphorical volume. Come join us on the dance floor!
Yes, we’ve done incredible events over the years, including the famous Saint Paul Art Crawl. We bring people together through art, and with art. We create stronger community, and all the benefits that flow from better connection and understanding. We have managed all of this on a shoestring with dedicated volunteers and not-enough staff support.
Our shoestrings have worn a bit thin! You can help with a donation of any size - one that just buys us new shoestrings, or one that helps us pay staff to coordinate the amazing volunteers who make our events happen. In order to keep this critical work going, we need to things from you.
1. Make a gift! (Bet you didn't see that coming, huh??)
Any gift, of any size, helps us do our work. We're not kidding about needing some basics like shoestrings. If you can help us with a bit more, we can do even more great work. And, also....
2. SHARE your gift. Tell your friends, your neighbors, that coworker that just doesn't get why a mural changes a whole street. Tell them all. Ask them to join you in making a gift of any size. This fall giving season is definitely about helping us with some financial support, but the eye on the prize for next year and the year after is a bigger group of people talking about art in community. We want to see 100 donors here before the end of the year. We have way more than 100 supporters, it's just that most of them don't donate to support the work. Honestly, that's partly on us. We don't always remind people to support us financially in addition to showing up in community.
Today, we're asking.
1. Give.
2. Share.
Thanks!
Give for the future of our city
We agree with Picasso that “every child is an artist.” Arts and crafts help nurture and retain that natural sense of creativity and curiosity that some of us seem to lose as we age. Creating things helps children experience more of the world, learn to solve problems, develop motor skills, and build confidence and social skills. That’s why we invest in free activities for kids of all ages during the St. Paul Art Crawl and numerous community events. From Mexican alebrijes sculpture-making to making collages, painting a Little Free Library, making ceramic fish, to traditional Indian dance workshops, we create a wide range of activities that make art fun and accessible to young families.
In 2025, we’re expanding the opportunities for the youth and young families to participate in the arts. Help us invest in the future of our community and support the work we do for future artists and more well-rounded citizens by making a year end gift.
Give for your community
St. Paul is comprised of a diverse and beautiful group of people with a wide range of cultural backgrounds, personal experiences, and ways of looking at the world. Art, perhaps more than any other format, gives us a shared and universal language by which we can better understand one another. When we support and engage in local art as a community, we create a shared sense of place–building and celebrating what is beautiful and unique about our home. Cultivating that respect for our community is a powerful thing for our city.
Twice a year, our keystone program, the St. Paul Art Crawl, brings hundreds of artists from all walks of life together to share their work and help keep this community strong. Support this mission with an end of year gift
Give because it's good for St. Paul
Events, concerts, festivals, and other cultural activities are a key economic force for any thriving city, and St. Paul is no different. Especially post-pandemic, bringing people together to engage in events like the St. Paul Art Crawl is a powerful way to keep the downtown districts and all of our unique neighborhoods busy. In 2024, we hosted 40 venues spread all across the city, bringing people out to shop in new places and explore new parts of the city. Local businesses have shared with us how valuable it is to give people a novel reason to get off their typical, well-beaten paths and find new favorite spots to come back to throughout the year.
Support the work we do to keep all of our neighborhoods strong by making an end of year donation.
