St Gertrude Church

The Church of St. Gertude has a mission which explains what we are about. Having a Razoo site help people to help us to continue to be the real concrete presence of Christ in our corner of the world.

We, St. Gertrude’s Catholic Community

are proud of our history of reaching out

and caring for the people of rural Forest City

for over 140 years.

 

We seek to form ourselves in the faith,

to celebrate God’s presence in our lives,

to reach out to those in need,

to build God’s kingdom of peace and justice,

 and to be the roots people look to

when death calls upon their family.

 

We pray that we, in union with our

neighboring Churches, may honor

our heritage and continue to grow

and flourish, as the concrete, real and

recognizable presence of Christ

in our corner of the world.
