Magi: Revisited

A re-imagined telling of O. Henry’s classic tale “The Gift of the Magi"

You know our deal: We value not only the art an artist brings, we value their well-being and we reflect that in how we compensate them for the time they invest in our project.

What you may not know is that movement development can take a long time! Whether it is one of our original pieces, or our upcoming production that is a re-imagined and movement-based telling of O. Henry’s The Gift of the Magi, it takes a lot of time to develop the movement and get it to a polished place. We don’t expect professional artists to take hours out of their work day to work for “almost free”. What does that mean? Do you know that some theater companies pay their performers stipends that break down to be $5/hour for their time in rehearsals and performances? That is not how SPARK wants to treat professional artists.

Will you help us raise the funds to pay artists well?

Click on the “DONATE” button above to make your donation today.

Would you consider taking it a step further...

Would you consider becoming a monthly donor? This type of support goes a long way, no matter the amount. It helps us plan, pay our on-going costs, and when we have enough supporters, it builds towards a production fund. We have had some supporters experience life changes and have had to withdraw their monthly support. Would you consider stepping up as a monthly supporter? You set the amount. We set up the ACH, and we initiate a payment every month. (ACH has less fees than a monthly donation through GiveMN.)

Thanks for your consideration!
