Someplace Safe

Someplace Safe works to create safer communities in West Central Minnesota by providing high quality crime victim services.

Someplace Safe is a nonprofit agency offering a myriad of services to victims and survivors of crime, families, and communities in a nine-county region in West Central Minnesota. Nearly 4,000 unduplicated local victims and survivors of crime were provided with services this past year through ten Advocacy Offices, five Parenting Time Centers, and three Thrift Stores located in Big Stone, Douglas, Grant, Otter Tail, Pope, Stevens, Traverse, Wadena, and Wilkin Counties.

Someplace Safe works to assist victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and exploitation, sex and labor trafficking, and other crimes (including stalking, elder abuse, identity theft, robbery, harassment, etc.), as they navigate the social, emotional and economic impacts faced as victims on the path to becoming survivors.

Someplace Safe works to provide safety, options, and hope to victims and survivors of crime, families, and communities through community Advocacy Offices, Parenting Time Centers and local Thrift Stores. 

Safety

Someplace Safe provides emergency services and support for victims of violence and crime, and their families. We collaborate with systems professionals to create safe, healthy communities.

Options

Someplace Safe offers information and resources to individuals utilizing our services. We create opportunities for volunteers, donors and supporters to get involved.

Hope

Someplace Safe empowers survivors to live a violence free life. We inspire social change through advocacy, education and awareness.
