Welcome to Skate Camp Midwest!
Located on the scenic bluffs of the St. Croix River, Skate Camp Midwest is a lively place where young people discover their potential and make lasting connections. Imagine the thrill of campers landing their first skateboard trick, sharing laughter around a campfire, making friends and learning to appreciate nature.
Our Mission
Fostering Community Through Skateboarding. With nearly one staff member for every two campers, we offer exceptional learning opportunities across a variety of fun activities—skateboarding, music, art, ax throwing, archery, canoeing and more—each option taught by expert professionals to help campers stay engaged, grow and connect.
In a world filled with screens, many young people feel lonely. Research shows that about 1 in 3 teenagers experience loneliness and isolation, often worsened by a virtual world of social media and technology. At Skate Camp Midwest, we focus on creating an inclusive atmosphere where campers experience a sense of belonging through exciting in person outdoor experiences.
What Parents Are Saying
Here’s what some parents of our campers have shared:
“Everything about this camp has just been a really positive experience with growth socially and with skating”
“It’s just inspiring and so awesome to see them all come together and support each other”
“I really watched my son transform into a leader in this space, I've watched him have some struggles and I've watched him be supported”
“When he comes to Skate Camp Midwest he knows that he gets a dose of amazing people, he knows that he gets a dose of great skating, and he also knows that he gets a great dose of just being in nature which is a very healing thing to the body and mind”
The Need for Support
Unfortunately, not every family can afford summer camp. It is our vision to make the skate camp experience accessible to all youth, no matter their financial situation.
This season, we need to raise funds to cover our operation costs that includes our scholarship program. It costs about $500 to send one child to camp. Families have already begun reaching out about summer 2025 scholarships and we have started a waitlist while we fundraise to cover costs. Help us to support families in need.
Reaching our goal of $5000 will allow us to fully fund the scholarships of 10 kids who would not otherwise be able to attend skate camp this summer. Will you make a gift today of $100 to help cover the cost of sending one child to camp?
By donating today, you’re not just giving money; you’re changing a child’s life and supporting our vision to make skate camp accessible. Picture the joy of a camper learning new skills, sharing laughter with friends, and creating memories that last a lifetime.
Join Us
In 2024, we provided 32 scholarships to midwest youth, with 11 of those fully funded by donations. The remaining costs were covered by Skate Camp Midwest, diverting funds from important program and facility improvements, such as adding ramps, music equipment, and art supplies. As we celebrate our upcoming fifth year, the demand for scholarships keeps growing. Your support can help more young people connect, learn, and thrive together.
Donate now and help us cultivate community through skateboarding and share this campaign with anyone who may the means to donate. Together, we can make a real difference. Thank you for your support!
