Thank you for visiting the Sexual Violence Center's Give to the Max page. Here, your support goes beyond a donation—it becomes a lifeline of hope, empowerment, and healing for survivors of sexual violence.
For nearly 40 years, SVC has been a beacon of safety, advocacy, and education. We stand alongside survivors, offering crucial services such as crisis intervention, advocacy support, prevention education, and healing programs—all at no cost. Your gift today fuels this life-changing work, helping us build a safer, more compassionate world.
This year’s campaign theme, Give for Good* is about uniting as a community to create lasting change. By giving, you help strengthen survivor rights, promote prevention initiatives, and foster pathways to healing. Together, we can make a powerful impact that extends far beyond today.
Every contribution, no matter the size, is a step toward building a future where all individuals can live free from fear and violence.
Thank you for believing in our mission and for standing with us to empower survivors. With your generosity, we can continue to change lives—one act of giving at a time.
Give for Good. Give to Empower. Give for Change.
SVC offers the following supportive services.
Emergency-room support: Our advocates work independently of law enforcement or the hospital system to support victims through medical examinations and evidence collection ("rape kits").
A 24/7 crisis support telephone line: Trained advocates are available 24/7 to offer anonymous and immediate support by phone.
Individual in-person and virtual counseling: We believe in the tremendous power of an advocate sitting with a victim/survivor, validating that they are believed, that what happened was not their fault and that they are not alone.
Group counseling: We provide group counseling both in-person and virtually. Our group counseling sessions cycle throughout the year and include Still I Rise (our women of color group), Queer Survivors, Youth Survivors, Women Survivors, and more.
Legal resources and referrals: We educate victims/survivors on their options and support them when filing restraining orders, reporting to the police, and/or connecting with legal representation.
Support groups: We have several groups to support victims and survivors from all walks of life who are interested in continuing to move forward with the help of a safe and supportive community.
We support anyone and everyone—from all genders and backgrounds—affected by sexual violence, and we work to make our services accessible to traditionally under-served populations.
SVC serves survivors/victims in Carver, Hennepin, and Scott Counties.
