Seed Coalition

A nonprofit organization

35 donors

For the last thirty years Seed Coalition has been a force for democratic engagement and campus-community partnerships in the Midwest. Help us mark our 30th year anniversary by planting a seed as one of our 30 donors for GTMD24!

Seed Coalition serves students, staff and faculty at over 40 member colleges and universities. The campuses we work with have made a commitment to strengthen their ties to the surrounding community to create a more engaged democracy.

Our programming includes educating students through community and civic learning experiences, making an impact in communities through reciprocal partnerships that address community-identified goals, providing quality professional development, and promoting the importance of higher education’s civic mission.

Your support is vital to advancing this vision and allowing Seed Coalition to continue working with colleges and universities to:

  1. Advance community-engaged learning that develops the skills, creativity, and persistence critical for life and citizenship;
  2. Invest in and promote the success of students from a variety of communities and identities; and
  3. Develop innovative collaborations that advance educational and economic opportunity, public health, environmental sustainability, and other social goods.

We believe in the power of community engagement as a tool for strengthening institutions of higher learning and the communities in which they reside, in the pursuit of a true and engaged democracy for all. Together we move toward a more just and equitable society.
