SDM - Dakota Squares

A nonprofit organization

People are still square dancing! Ages 6 to 96, from cities and rural areas, and from all walks of life, folks are gathering for:

Fun -- it's dancing! A caller names the moves to make and ties them all together to make the dance fun and different every time.

Fitness -- a typical evening of square dancing has you moving as if you had walked four miles. It's way more fun than a treadmill!

Fellowship -- square dancers are a family. Socialize between tips (dance segments) and eat tasty treats and be part of a bigger fun-loving group, with new people at pretty much every dance.

Dakota Squares hosts monthly square dances in West St. Paul, Minnesota, and offers introductory lessons throughout the year in locations in or near St. Paul, Minnesota. We usually have line dancing between tips, too, for even more variety.  We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to helping people learn, practice, and enjoy modern square dancing. And we are a proud member of Square Dance Minnesota, Inc.

We're raising funds so we can offer free introductory lessons for people who want to try square dancing (or want to return to it) and to continue to offer a fun attractive setting for our monthly dances.

Of course, your donation is tax-deductible and it goes to making square dancing more and more popular.
