We hope to use books to better connect kids to classroom curriculum!
This year, Scott Highlands Middle School requests your "Give To The Max Day" support to help us purchase high-interest, content-specific books to help us better connect students to their classroom curriculum. For example, we would use these dollars to purchase non-fiction books about weather, astronomy, and electricity--to name a few--to enhance our science curriculum for students. We would like to purchase curriculum-related books for additional content areas, as well, (Math, Social Studies, English, for example) to add supplemental reading in classrooms to not only better connect kids to their classroom content, but to better engage kids and thus enhance student achievement. All money collected on Give To The Max Day will go towards purchasing such books for kids in our school.
Any dollar amount will help us get closer to our goal of making a great space for kids to create a news program. And remember, every gift gives Scott Highlands Middle School a chance at an hourly Golden Ticket worth $1,000! Any size gift will be entered into this hourly drawing for $1,000 on the 17th. There are also two Super-Sized $10,000 Golden Tickets that will be randomly selected throughout the day. Your gift could be the one that brings that Golden Ticket to Scott Highlands!
