Excitement is in the air at South Central College as students eagerly pursue their dreams. Tomorrow’s nurses, mechanics, ag producers, dental assistants, machinists, engineers and computer technicians are hard at work honing their skills. A better future is within reach.
As happens each fall, South Central College Foundation is embarking on its Annual Fund Drive. Each year, we respectfully ask community members to consider supporting scholarships and programs at South Central College. Scholarships help students concentrate more fully on their educational goals and remain in school. Program support ensures that the courses at SCC remain relevant.
South Central College is our area’s foremost community and technical college. The cost of an education at SCC is a fraction of what is charged at many other higher education institutions in the area, without any sacrifice to the high quality of instruction. Each dollar donated to the SCC Foundation can go further to support students in need. SCC is proud to serve a high number of first-generation college students, who are the first in their immediate family to pursue higher education. Strong support is offered to ensure that these students succeed. Contributions supporting scholarships for first-generation college students will serve to empower future generations.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, South Central College Foundation provided nearly $700,000 in scholarships and program support to South Central College and its students this past year. The impact is profound.
“When I first started my journey to reaching my degree in nursing, I had many worries and concerns, and financing my education was the major one. This scholarship gives me peace of mind and greatly helps me in reaching my dream of becoming a nurse. Thank you for your generosity and kindness.” SCC Nursing Student 2023
Please consider making a contribution to SCC Foundation. All gifts, large or small, make a positive impact on the lives of SCC students and strengthen tomorrow’s skilled workforce.
