Hope United CDC has deep roots in helping people and organizations connect in making North Minneapolis a greater place for all.

Hope United CDC is a faith-based, community development organization whose mission is to be a catalyst of hope for North Minneapolis ...connecting people, organizations and resources to transform our community for good.  Hope United CDC envisions North Minneapolis as a vibrant, thriving community.  For this vision to become reality there must be positive social, economic, and spiritual change.  Many people, congregations, and groups that do great work must be connected so we can together produce a great community.   

Hope United is especially committed to the concept of reconciliation.  Our work is all about what we call “practical reconciliation.”  This means agreeing to the simple premise that human beings are obligated to respect each other’s humanity and that, working interdependently, we bring value to one and all.  As we agree to this premise, we are able to cooperate in practice through Hope United’s three strategic focus points: 

1.Increasing positive community engagement

2. increasing the learning readiness of African American boys and young men

3. increasing the financial capabilities of African Americans in Minneapolis
