Help our mission to serve the most vulnerable in Ghana, West Africa
MISSION STATEMENT OF ROYAL PROMISE:
Answering the physical and spiritual needs of the most vulnerable, through care and advocacy, to make disciples of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
At Royal Promise we take James 2:14-17 literally...“What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone? Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do? So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.”
The purpose of our ministry is to make disciples. To share the gospel - the good news of a Savior, Rescuer who has come to reconcile us to the One, True, God. But we cannot only do that and ignore the blaring, physical needs of those who we are serving. We do both. We meet physical needs alongside discipleship. It’s not one or the other. Christ’s love compels us to do both.
When you give to Royal Promise, you are helping us to meet real needs, in real life circumstances. But that’s not all. Over and over again we’ve found that when we meet a person’s physical need, this often opens up the door - a relationship - for us to reach to their spiritual need. It’s the gateway for us to hand these we are serving a cup from the well of Living Water that will never run dry.
How our mission plays out tangibly in real life situations…
We currently have 52 vulnerable children and youth in our full-time care within our two mission centers in Ghana. We meet their daily needs of food, clothing, hygiene, shelter, education, and medical care, as well as cover them with love as they are invited into our family. Several of the children in our care are orphans living with HIV/AIDS which require specialized medical care and diet.
Our Royal Promise Christian School provides quality Christian education to over 400 students from the surrounding community, teaching 11 different grade levels. We offer sponsorships to those families in the community who are not able to pay for school fees, school uniforms, school supplies, or school lunches for their child.
We provide educational sponsorship for those in the communities where we are located who otherwise would not be able to continue to advance in their education beyond the junior high level. We give various sponsorships for high school (which is not free in Ghana), to technical/vocational school, and even now are sponsoring several individuals at Universities in Ghana.
We provide medical sponsorships from the span of hernia correction surgery, to heart condition medication, to covering the costs of a woman giving birth safely in the hospital, to medical care for infections and various sicknesses, to emergency situations, and the list goes on.
At Royal Promise each physical need our organization faces is attached to a human life. That is why our work is so sacred, valuable, and weighty to us. We invite you to join our mission through financially supporting our work so that we can continue to be a help in such situations where no other help is coming.
