Roots for the Home Team

Roots for the Home Team uses the power of food, community, and entrepreneurship to empower youth. With a focus on supporting young people who identify as Black, Indigenous, People of Color and LGBTQ+, Roots for the Home Team has become a driving force in cultivating sustainable food systems, nurturing creativity, and empowering young minds.

Through strategic partnerships with the Minnesota Twins (Major League Baseball) and MN United (Major League Soccer), we provide valuable entrepreneurial skills and career paths for young people by selling nutritious and delicious meals at Target Field and Allianz Stadium (launching in 2024). Our expanding partnerships provide more youth participants with inspiring role models and open doors to future opportunities in entrepreneurship and leadership.
