Emergency Housing Fund - Rice County United Way

In Rice County, the need for emergency housing is greater than ever. Rising costs of essentials like food, along with lack of affordable housing has forced many people to rely on couch surfing, sleeping in cars and ultimately, emergency housing units. By donating to this fund, you will allow nonprofits like the Community Action Center and Northfield Union of Youth to help keep families, youths and individuals in their homes or provide emergency and temporary shelters.

According to Scott Wopata, Executive Director of the CAC, around 470 households or 850 people, including 285 children, currently need emergency housing in our area, and funds for emergency housing can't currently keep up with the need. Thank you keeping someone warm this winter.
