The Regional Native Public Defense Corporation (RNPDC) is a Native-led non-profit organization established in 2007 to seek justice and fair treatment for members of federally recognized tribes facing criminal charges.  RNPDC attorneys and staff are frontline advocates for reparative justice in systems designed to perpetuate intergenerational family separation, poverty, and racial discrimination within Itasca, Cass, Beltrami, Clearwater, Mahnomen, and Becker Counties. 

At the heart of our mission lies a commitment to justice, equality, and empowerment for Native American individuals facing legal challenges within our region. Everyone deserves access to high-quality legal representation, regardless of background or circumstances. Through our dedicated team of attorneys and advocates, we strive to bridge the gap in access to justice and ensure fair legal proceedings for all.

According to the Minnesota Board of Public Defense, since 2017, RNPDC has represented clients in over 5,400 cases.
