Redesign, Inc. is a place-based nonprofit community development corporation serving the Minneapolis neighborhoods of Seward, Longfellow, Cooper, Howe, and Hiawatha. We connect neighbors in the community to shape the economy and physical environment of their neighborhood. Our work builds a vibrant neighborhood economy and affordable housing accessible to all.  

Redesign works every day to ensure that the businesses that make our community great can launch, grow, and thrive. We have dedicated staff that connect with our businesses and work with them to identify their needs and connect them with funding and support to realize their goals. This past year alone we’ve connected with 157 businesses, provided services to more than 70 encompassing more than 650 hours of direct-to-the-business support. If you love that new restaurant; shop; or service provider, or you’ve seen a beautiful new sign or awning at a business in the neighborhood, there’s a good chance Redesign was there to help the business. Your contributions help us keep our business community strong and our neighborhood vibrant.

Redesign also renovates and builds the spaces for our businesses to occupy. We’ve created spaces for restaurants, nonprofits, gift shops, arts organizations, startups and more to ensure there is quality space for businesses to launch and grow. Our portfolio of 7 buildings supports the operations of over 40 businesses.
