A BEACON of HOPE!

Redeemer is a Lutheran congregation (ELCA) in the Harrison neighborhood of north Minneapolis committed to being a fully affirming and inclusive congregation where people of all ages, races, ethnicities, genders, orientations, and abilities are welcome to celebrate, participate in, receive, and share God's embrace. 

During this 2022 season, we're recently called a new full-time pastor and are pursuing ministry working for justice with our neighbors in North Minneapolis and with our greater Twin Cities siblings surviving oppression, poverty, brutality, homelessness, and more.

As we move from 2022 into 2023, we hope you will join us as we strive to meet our goal. If we do meet our $11,500 goal, we will have: 

1. Provided updates for our residents in the Glenwood House. It is a joy to support our young, BIPOC members of our community. Creating a safe, solid footing for them as they grow. 
2. We will be able to continue our 112-year story as a diverse community who worships and serves together. We are renewing our sanctuary, providing updates to create inclusive and accessible spaces for our spiritual journey. 
3. We want to keep offering internships to students at our local universities and seminaries. Redeemer can be a place for those who wish to learn and grow, gaining hands-on experiences, and tools for becoming dynamic leaders. 

Our congregation’s deep impulse is toward a dynamic, impactful ministry through the development of authentic, transformational relationships and open doors with the surrounding community.

As a “beacon of hope” in North Minneapolis, we  worship and pray together as well as study scripture and provide a variety of activities and opportunities for ministry, including seasonal meditations, youth and children's activities, zoom fellowship, virtual worship, outdoor worship, and more…
