Your donation will help us continue providing essential inclusion services, ensuring that children, teens, and adults with disabilities can fully participate in their local city park and recreation programs alongside their peers building independence, confidence, and social connections. Every dollar makes a difference, directly impacting inclusion in your community.

As a parent, Beth was unsure whether her 7-year-old son, who is on the autism spectrum and faces challenges with anxiety and reactivity, could successfully interact with his peers in the Three Rivers Park summer nature programs. Wanting him to have the opportunity to participate, she reached out to our inclusion services for support. Throughout the summer, she noticed how the consistent presence of a Reach staff member helped reassure her son. The staff member skillfully provided one-on-one support while also encouraging him to engage with the group.

It was heartening for Beth to see other kids receiving support as well, creating a welcoming and inclusive community. By the end of camp, a nature center staff member thanked Beth for enrolling in Reach’s inclusion services, noting how much her son’s confidence and independence had grown. Beth is grateful she reached out to Reach for inclusion support, finding peace of mind in watching her son thrive alongside his peers.

Reach for Resources (Reach) is a nonprofit organization whose vision is to empower people of all abilities to reach their full potential. Our mission is to provide individualized services that maximize independence, boost community engagement, and improve physical and emotional well-being.At Reach, we empower people of all abilities to reach their full potential. Every year, we provide a wide variety of services to over 1,600 people.  Our services have expanded to include Adaptive Recreation, Case Management, Employment Supports, Housing Supports, Inclusion, Independent Living Skills, In-Home Supports, Counseling, Mental Health Services, and Transportation. We empower children, teens, and adults to achieve the highest level of self-reliance possible while helping them to integrate into their communities so they can successfully live, work, and play.
