Rainbow Research Inc

The mission of Rainbow Research is to support communities and socially concerned organizations through capacity building, research, and evaluation.

With our current staff of highly experienced research and evaluation professionals from diverse backgrounds and interests, we support community-driven, participatory evaluations that can lead to real change. Rainbow Research staff conduct evaluation and research that addresses inequality, poverty, underrepresentation, advocacy, community development, discrimination, and disparities related to health, human services, education, and the built and physical environments. Our approach emphasizes social justice and co-creating knowledge with individuals most impacted by the issues being explored. 

Many organizations that we work with cannot fully fund research and evaluation services. We are raising funds to help support this work. Having access to data gives people the power to make positive change for their communities. These funds will help us provide training and technical assistance to community-based organizations, equity-focused evaluation workshops, and professional development opportunities for new evaluators of color.

The field of evaluation acknowledges the critical need to diversify the professional evaluation workforce. Rainbow Research has a modest program to support this goal that we would like to grow! We currently host summer high school interns and have one position for a college-level intern. Through this, we have refined our training and mentoring processes and are prepared to increase our program once funding is secured. Your support would provide the opportunity for a young person of color to explore new professional opportunities.
