Since 1956, women from Princeton have traveled Minnesota sharing their hometown pride honorably. Our network of program Alumni includes professionals working both locally, nationally, and internationally in a wide range of career paths.
Throughout their year in crown, Princeton Ambassadors work to spread a positive impression of our city at festivals across the state, supporting the efforts of local nonprofits and organizations, and learning to give of themselves through service opportunities.
We are a community-service based program, and Ambassadors are not selected by any beauty or talent criteria but by their leadership abilities, service mindset, and unique personality traits.
The Ambassadors have approximately 100 events during their year of service. Some of our recent local volunteer events include: working at Twice New Thrift (a local non-profit), Kids Day at the Fair, Night to Unite, Public Safety Day, Baldwin Fire Open House, Scrubby Bear Fairview Golf Fundraiser, Baldwin FunFest, Princeton Chamber of Commerce Golf Fundraiser, United We Shiver, and the Early Childhood Education Fair.
At the end of their reign, the older Ambassadors are awarded with scholarships to further their education. Since 1980, over 100 young women have earned thousands of dollars in scholarships to empower them to achieve their educational goals. These college funds would not be possible if it weren’t for the support of donations and fundraising.
We are solely volunteer-run and rely on the generous donations of business and individual supporters to fulfill our mission and to provide educational scholarships to the next generation of female leaders.
We consider it a privilege to help the young women of our community grow into positive leaders as they make an incredible impact on their community for years to come!
