Military leadership youth development program

Polaris Battalion USNSCC, started in 2011 and became a full commissioned unit in 2014. Based out of Cambridge MN, this unit serves youth ages 11-17, from over 10 different cities in the surrounding area. Drilling once a month, cadets learn about the customs and courtesies of the US Navy, from sitting in classes, to practicing marching. Understanding chain of command, to developing self defense skills. Listening to engaging speakers, to enjoying intro to SCUBA, and amazing leadership skills development, this Unit offers many opportunities. Aside from drill, cadets help to serve vets, either through participation events with Beyond The Yellow Ribbon, to serving meals on Veterans Day. Cadets also participate in specialized trainings, from Boot camp, to SCUBA. EOD, to Field Ops and STEM or even the chance to live aboard the most decorated battle ship in the US Navy. A goal for this Unit is to offer scholarships to youth unable to pay for the yearly fee or the training opportunities. Please consider a donation to our Unit.
