Pine Tree Apple Classic Fund

Pine Tree Apple Classic Fund (PTACF), a Minnesota non-profit corporation, was formed in 2018 to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Pine Tree Apple Tennis Classic (PTATC) and targeted cancer research efforts at Children's Minnesota and over 200 hospitals in 49 countries around the world.

Our mission is to be a positive force in the health and well-being of children with childhood diseases and their families, by providing funding, programming and other events and activities to further research around childhood diseases.

Your generous financial support of PTACF and the PTATC helps provide vital information to cancer specialists around the world and supports research areas where there is little or no national attention including: advancing DICER1 rare tumor research, preventing cancer treatment side effects and promoting quality of life.  

All money is raised through the Pine Tree Apple Tennis Classic, the premier mixed doubles tournament in the upper Midwest which features the top tennis players in the region. The 39th Annual Pine Tree Apple Tennis Classic is set for August 1-4, 2024, at Life Time White Bear and admission is FREE! 

The PTATC has raised over $7.5 million for cancer research and recently established the Pine Tree Apple Tennis Classic Endowed Chair in Cancer and Blood Disorders Research in 2020 at Children's Minnesota, naming Dr. Kris Ann Schultz as the inaugural chair. Our goal is to endow a second chair at Children's Hospitals in the near future and can use your help!
