OUR MISSION
The mission of People for PSEO is to promote, defend, and expand opportunities for students through the PSEO program.
1. PROMOTE: We promote PSEO awareness by sharing information through presentations, flyers, and events. Last school year, we reached over 3,700 people with information about PSEO!
2. DEFEND: We are a group of current and former PSEO students, their parent/guardians, and other PSEO supporters who defend access to the PSEO opportunities by documenting barriers to PSEO enrollment. This work has even led to several changes in PSEO law!
3. EXPAND: We expand opportunities for students to achieve their dreams in PSEO by supporting them during all phases of PSEO enrollment.
WHAT IS PSEO?
The Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) program is a state law that enables high school students in grades 10-12 earn replace their high school courses with FREE college courses taught by a college professor. Each year, 20,000 students use PSEO to save time and money while exploring their academic interests. Students can use PSEO at almost at two or four year college in Minnesota! However, there are many barriers that prevent students from having a successful PSEO experience. That's where you come in!
SPONSOR A PSEO STUDENT!
We are seeking $6,000 to expand our new PSEO Boot Camp program that we launched in November 2024! Thanks to a generous group of sponors, all donations will be matched 1:1 up to $3000!
For every $100 raised, we will be able to put another incoming PSEO student through our PSEO Boot Camp, a 4-week curriculum that prepares students for PSEO enrollment. Right now, we have capacity for 139 students, but our registration waitlist has 43 high schools with over 1,000 PSEO students! We have an urgent need to meet this demand in order to help students have a successful PSEO journey. To learn more about the program, see here.
