Peace House Community

Peace House Community provides a place to belong to everyone who comes through our doors.

Since 1985, Peace House has provided a welcoming and supportive community to all who need it in south Minneapolis. We offer a sense of belonging, friendship, dignity and mutuality of service to each person who comes through our doors. Peace House Community seeks to empower each person through mutual sharing, respectful listening, shared responsibility and appreciation of each other's contribution. While we meet physical needs through meals, first aid supplies, and hygiene items, our focus is on the social and relational needs of all our members. Isolation, loneliness, and feeling ignored by society take their toll on our member, but we seek to counter these through group activities, individual conversations, and a stable presence in the neighborhood.
