For more than 28 years, Parenting With Purpose has helped over 7,000 Twin Cities individuals and families transform their lives during and after  incarceration. How? By providing programs designed to address the needs of the whole family:

•    Parenting classes, mentoring and encouragement to incarcerated parents;

•    Support for caregivers; and

•    Mentoring services, transportation, stability and love to children.

•    Reduce the violence at homes and in the communities

Did you know…

•    More than 15,000 Minnesota children have an incarcerated mother or father—and they’re among the highest at-risk and least visible populations of children.

•    60-80% of children with an incarcerated parent will themselves wind up in the criminal justice system.

•    PWP seeks to break the inter-generational cycle of crime by supporting families affected by incarceration.

•    School Backpacks - distributing packs full of supplies for kids

•    Blessing Closet - household items and necessities for families

•    Lunches of Love - providing nutritious lunches

•    Referrals - connecting families with housing, education, employment, furniture, food, community activities and health service
