Join Project Hoot: Build Their Forever Home

The International Owl Center got its start in 2015 in an historic storefront in downtown Houston, MN as an outgrowth of the success of the International Festival of Owls. It is the only all-owl education center in the United States. While the current brick building has been a great starter facility, it's now time to build a facility that meets our needs. Our single toilet, one acoustic space for everything, owls commuting to work every day from off-site aviaries, single program space and small space are no longer adequate. 

We have worked with Wieser Brothers General Contractors and DSGW Architects to develop a design for our new facility, to be located in and adjacent to Trailhead Park on the north side of Houston. We are in the process of demolishing all existing buildings on site after reclaiming everything possible, and are in the midst of our capital campaign.
