Outreach Asia's mission of improving the lives of the least fortunate in developing countries in Southeast Asia: Vietnam & the Philippines

Mission

Outreach Asia currently has these main areas of focus. Safe Drinking Water Systems at elementary schools, communities and families in Vietnam and the Philippines. Projects for leprosy support in Ben Tre, Vietnam. Child sponsorship program in Cavite, Philippines (Gems Heart).

1. "Water For Life" Outreach Asia is pleased to announce our water well program in Kien Giang Province (see map). The cost per family water system is $250. 2. Leprosy support: We support a leprosy hospital and outpatient farm in Pasobolong, Mindanao, Philippines. We fund projects for the 55+ families who live on the outpatient farm. At this farm, they raise pigs, chickens and ducks. Grow rice and mangos. This is a income generating project, which allows them to send their children to school and pay for medicine for the outpatients who remain "positive". In addition, a portion of the food raised is used to feed 30-40 children each day, whose parents have leprosy. This allows them to be nutritious, so they will not catch the disease. 3. GEMS Heart Outreach-Cavite, Philippines. At GEMS we operate a children sponsorship program ($180 per year). GEMS focuses on sustainable programs that build capacity rather than simply provide one-time handouts. With funding from sponsorships, donations and grants, GEMS president Buenasflores and her two staff members target the following areas: sustainable health, nutrition and environmental sanitation; early childcare and development; family life development; and educational support. 4. Christmas Leprosy program in Vietnam. Outreach Asia introduces it's Annual Christmas Leprosy Program for 200+ people who have the leprosy disease in Ben Tre, Vietnam. Each sponsorship donation is $40. For this amount of funding (no administration fees involved), we provide the following to each individual in Vietnam: 10 kg sack of rice, 10 tablets of 500mg Paracetamol, 10 bags of noodles, 100 tablet bottle of Gastrogel, 1 bottle soy sauce, 10 tablet/pack B Complex, 1 bottle cooking oil, 1 bag detergent, 2 tooth brushes and paste, 1 hair brush 2 bars of soap, 1 bag of Vietnamese coffee. 5.'Vietnam Tet New Year Noodle/Rice Program' is our final program of the Christmas Season. Outreach Asia works with the Sisters of St. Paul de Chartres in My Tho, Vietnam, who administer this program with your donated funds. No administration fees, 100% goes to purchasing rice and noodles. 100% tax deductible. Our fundraising goal for this annual program is $7,000. Other programs and services will be developed as needs are identified by the community, target clients and other stakeholders.

Funded completely by donations and grants, Outreach Asia is a streamlined, efficient U.S. 501(c)(3) non-profit charity organization. We direct over 96% of all donations to our relief work through the extensive use of dedicated volunteers, non-paid staff and our frugal approach.
